Our New Start: Week 1 - A Picture Tour

So since it's so hard to keep everyone updated in a timely manner, I decided to set up a blog instead for everyone to follow! We're still new to this, so may take a little to get it organized but want to send out updates at least once a week!

We're going to try to keep it as up to date as we can and record all our progress along the way! I know it doesn't make up for the distance yet, but it'll allow us to stay close and share our experiences along the way for now =) You can even follow our blog to get future updates and share comments like facebook!

Anywayyy, internet and cell phone are as unreliable as can be down here, so there's been a bit of a back up on pictures and info. Figured this would be a start to get everyone caught up!

The drive down to the new lot!

Here's a quick tour driving up to our property!

Here's the front gate to the community. Uses a pin code, so it's perfect for visitation ;)

Cute little waterfall on the way up. It looks small but about three times as tall as Alli haha This is where we've been filling up our water jugs for cleaning and cooking. The neighbor right across from the waterfall even came out to welcome us to the community and offered for us to use her water whenever we needed! She has a spunky chocolate lab too, so may be a play mate for Abby up here =)

There's a ton of these little pheasant guys along the road on the way up! Abby likes watching them. One of these days when we get a gun that may be dinner! jk..but it could be haha

Here you can see both our lots! The top lot is on the left side, it's the cleared out section without any trees on it. The bottom lot is on the right side and where you can see the blue dining tarps.
